I read Becky Steinbruner’s piece this week. It reminded me of her vociferous opposition to the Village project, opposition I do not recall hearing about until after the project was approved. I am admittedly less informed about the issues at the water district than I was about the then proposed Village. Still, I would count myself among those who want to see a change to the politics of “NO!” I do not think my community can be served by failing to plan while concurrently objecting to any meaningful effort to do so. I want to live in a place that has planned and prepared for its future. I want my children to have some possibility of living here. Our community needs to plan and prepare for its water, sewer, garbage, housing and transportation needs. To date, I would say that we are woefully behind in those efforts.
