BETHEL — The plan to expand a wood recycling facility will go before the public on Tuesday evening.
The proposal for All Regional Recyclers of Wood to begin collecting construction debris and other material at its Wooster Street facility has drawn ire from residents, who say it will lead to increased traffic, among other concerns.
An attorney for the company has said the expansion would serve small, local contractors and would not negatively impact the neighborhood.
The project is before the Planning and Zoning Commission. Last month’s public hearing was postponed after as many as 70 people showed up to speak in a room that was too small for the crowd.
The 7 p.m. Tuesday public hearing will be held in the general purpose room.
