Spending time on campus? Here's how to plan your day - CU Boulder Today

Planning to spend time on campus? Here are some things to know before you visit.

Remember to complete the Daily Health Form each day that you intend to be on campus. Set a daily reminder on your calendar and create a shortcut on your phone.

Bring your Buff OneCard

Keep your Buff OneCard in your wallet or bag whenever you’re on campus. In addition to needing it for things like meal plans and campus cash you will also need it to get into campus buildings.

Pack a snack or review campus community dining options

If you’ll be on campus for a while, consider bringing lunch or a snack. All dining centers, the Alferd Packer Grill in the UMC and our grab-n-go locations will be open only to residence hall students with meal plans.

Retail markets, restaurants and cafes will be open to the campus community with various payment options accepted, including:

  • Campus Cash
  • Credit/debit cards
  • Munch Money (not accepted at Starbucks)

All dining options will be grab-n-go only and some may require ordering ahead through the Nutrislice app or Nutrislice website. Block meal plans will not be available for purchase.

Check building capacity limits

High-traffic buildings such as the Rec Center and University Memorial Center (UMC), have a capacity limit on how many people can be inside at a time.

Students can check current occupancy rates on the UMC website before visiting. If you have a class that meets in the UMC, plan to arrive early in case you need to wait to enter the building.

Some spaces at the Rec Center, such as the main weight room, climbing gym and indoor pool, require a reservation in advance. Learn more about reservations and Rec Center facility changes.

For more information on building access on campus, visit the COVID-19 webpage.

Check class schedule

Before leaving for class on Monday, check your class schedule one last time.

Study and eat outside

Whether you’re eating lunch or studying between classes, take advantage of Colorado’s warm, sunny days and spend time outside.

Remember to Protect our Herd by wearing a face covering, staying 6 feet from others and washing your hands (or using hand sanitizer)!
